L3792 Loses Retired Dispatcher Dana Granger
Gates Firefighters held a funeral for former Gates Fire District Dispatcher Dana Granger. Dana died on Thursday of an apparent hear attack, he was 67. Dana was part of the Gates Fire District since 1967 and just recently retired. Photos

L3792 Supports National Fallen Firefighters Foundation in Golf Tournament
L3792 Sent four teams to participate in the Fifth Annual National Fallen Firefighters Golf Tournament.
The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation provides help and support to the survivors of fallen firefighters and immediate assistance to Fire Departments after a loss of a firefighter. In 2004, the Foundation launched the golf tournament as a way of paying tribute to firefighters who die in the line of duty and to raise funds to continue the Foundation’s outreach programs.
Last year the Rochester Golf Tournament was able to raise over $20,000 for the Fallen Firefighters Foundation. In addition Firefighters from across the United States hosted another 34 golf tournaments and raised another $310,000 for the Foundation.
